Onondaga Senior Call-A-Ride (OSCAR)
Introduction to OSCAR
Through funding from the Onondaga
County Dept. of Adult & Long Term Care Services, Centro's
Specialized Transportation Department provides ride services for seniors
who are 60+ and reside in Onondaga County.
Eligible seniors must be pre-registered to
participate in the OSCAR program. To request an application, please
call the Specialized Transportation Department at (315) 442-3434,
Monday - Friday between 8:00am and 5:00pm.
The OSCAR service cannot be used for medical transportation if the
customer is eligible for Medicaid. Please contact your Medicaid worker
for assistance to medical appointments.

OSCAR provides public transportation Monday -
Friday between 7:00am and 7:00pm to/from origins and destinations within
Onondaga County that are not serviced by Centro's regular route
service. This service is not available on weekends or holidays.
Effective March 1, 2016 eligible seniors may receive:

round trips per month or ( 4 )
one-way trips per month
The number of trips per month is subject to change depending on available funding.
Seniors using the OSCAR program are not required to
pay a fare to use the service. However, voluntary contributions are
accepted and used to expand services. While OSCAR Senior Transportation
suggested contributions range from $2.50 to $3.00 per trip,
contributions in any amount are welcomed. Riders will not be denied
service if unable or unwilling to contribute.

Travel training is available to newly registered
OSCAR customers upon request. For more information, please ask the
Specialized Transportation Department representative when requesting an
application or making your ride reservation.
