Centro of Oneida Puts Four New Buses Into Service
Vehicles replace older buses, fleet now fully air conditioned
Utica, NY – Four new 35-foot Centro buses are now in service providing transportation in the city of Utica. The new vehicles feature air conditioning, front door mobility ramps, and low floor technology.
“This is the latest in our ongoing effort to provide a high quality of service for our customers,” said Centro of Oneida General Manager Ron Bucciero “These new mobility ramps are a significant upgrade in technology and with the addition of theses buses, our entire fleet is now air conditioned.”
The new buses they are replacing four older vehicles which had reached the end of their useful lifespan.
Bucciero says the front door mobility ramps and the low floor technology should allow for a quicker and safer boarding process for customers, especially those with disabilities.
Centro operates a fleet of 28 full-sized buses and six Para transit Call-A-Bus vehicles in Utica.
Five similar 40-foot vehicles were put into service in Syracuse this week.
